Fine Dining Restaurant |
 |
"The Chancery strikes me as a place where a mainly local English clientele will be confident of getting a good choice of dishes that are comfortingly traditional, but with some innovative combinations that are neither dull or predictable."

Tucked away in a quiet street adjoining Lincoln’s Inn, this delightful restaurant is hard to find, but worth the effort. The Chancery is a brilliant addition to London’s restaurant scene. From the moment our cappuccino-sized gazpacho amuse bouches arrived, we knew we were in good hands.
An innovative menu focuses on Mediterranean and British classics with touches of international flair. For instance, soy cured smoked
salmon stood out among the starters - perfectly marinated and accompanied by a vegetable roll worthy of any sushi kitchen. Ham hock with piccalilli and foie gras was equally refined. Main courses were fairly traditional, but executed with considerable flair, including succulent sea bass and a perfectly cooked beef fillet accompanied by sweet potato puree. The wine list is short on length but high on quality.
