Avenue Q at the Noel Coward Theatre ( SAVE £19.00 ) BOOK NOW
Since opening in London over 2 years ago, the cult hit show Avenue Q has been playing to hugely enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations, proving highly addictive with its legion of fans coming back to see it over and over! The show is set in a mythical NYC block occupied by an endearing, oddball collection of people; kooky Christmas Eve and hapless hubby Brian and puppets: sloppy Nicky, closeted Rod, lost soul Princeton, lovelorn Kate, porn-happy Trekkie Monster, and bimbo-licious Lucy The Slut! They swear like sailors, engage in kinky puppet coitus, and even impart valuable and/or absurd life lessons. These folks wouldn't be at home on Sesame Street -- heck, they wouldn't even be welcome on Sesame Street. To call it a puppet show does it a disservice, Sesame Street for grown-ups isn't right either. There's no handy way to describe Avenue Q except as the furriest, and one of the funniest, shows you're likely ever to see. Avenue Q contains scenes which may be unsuitable for children under 12. Children under 5 are not admitted. However, it is safe to say that if you are an adult with a good sense of humour, then Avenue Q is right up your street!

Plague Over England at the Duchess Theatre ( SAVE £13.50 ) BOOK NOW
Plague Over England is based around the controversial 1953 conviction of Sir John Gielgud - for persistently importuning men for immoral purposes. More than just a dramatization of a scandalous event in one actor's life, this new play shows how Gielgud's arrest played a small but distinct part in the battle to make homosexuality legal. Plague Over England captures the spirit of Britain in the early 1950s when judges, politicians and the national press were describing homosexuality as a cancer, an epidemic and a threat to national life. It is an extraordinary insight into the dramatic changes in social attitudes to gay life in the last fifty years.

Avenue Q at the Noel Coward Theatre ( SAVE £6.50 ) BOOK NOW
Since opening in London over 2 years ago, the cult hit show Avenue Q has been playing to hugely enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations, proving highly addictive with its legion of fans coming back to see it over and over!
